Announcing SOC 2 compliance 🔒

Building transferable trust, from us, to you, and your customers

We know the value of good relationships in user testing. Where the use of tester data and the transference of feedback, opinions, and experiences cannot be taken lightly when it comes to handling data.

"Relationships are built on trust, which is why we're committed to delivering the highest standards of security for our customers."

Since we launched Maze, building strong foundations in security has been a pillar in our values and implemented across workflows. Now, we're proud to reach the next level in industry accreditation with SOC 2.

Industry-recognized accreditation

Maze has made it a core goal to uphold the highest standards of industry-recognized accreditation so that each and every one of our customers, big and small, can rely on our policies and procedures with peace of mind.

This is why we are proud to announce that we have reached new heights in security and compliance in passing our recent Service and Organisation Controls (SOC 2) audit and have been awarded a SOC 2 Type I.

What is SOC 2?

The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants SOC 2 standard measures security and availability, giving industry-wide recognition to companies that conform to them. We're so proud to have achieved this accreditation and confidently say we can assure that your data is being managed in a controlled and audited environment.

How does SOC 2 differ from SOC 1?

  • SOC 1: This accreditation addresses the internal control design over financial reporting.
  • SOC 2: This accreditation addresses a service organization's controls that are relevant to their operations and compliance.

Our Type I reporting format describes Maze's controls based on a specific point in time, with regular audits taking place so you can trust our security procedures meet your needs around the clock.

When do you expect SOC 2 Type II?

We're currently actively working towards SOC 2 Type II accreditation and expect it to be rolled out in early 2022. Keep updated with us in these product updates or contact our team via this page to learn more about our current and evolving Enterprise offering.

What does this mean for Maze Enterprise users?

Maze empowers you to build better products by collecting actionable user insights that help inform decisions. Handling your tester's data should take precedence across the services you use, not only to reach your own compliance needs but to create, build and maintain better relationships with your testers.

We keep the relationships you have with testers front of mind and will continue to focus on security standards so that you can focus on testing, learning, and nurturing tester relationships.

Building strong foundations in security across Maze has always been a core focus. It's been implemented across the organization - from product to our people team since the beginning. Now as we continue to grow and our product evolves and matures, it's our priority to ensure that our best practices evolve with it.
