We are excited to announce the introduction of Private Workspaces - a new feature designed to enhance the security and confidentiality of research studies within Maze.
Private Workspaces allow teams to lock down their Maze workspaces, ensuring that research studies conducted within these workspaces are only accessible by team members with access. This feature provides an additional layer of control and privacy, giving teams the peace of mind they need when handling sensitive research data.
Private workspaces are available to all teams on the Organization plan.

Private workspaces can be added from the workspaces page in Maze, or directly from the side-navigation bar. Simply click on "Create workspace" and select the "Private" option.
To manage access for users in private workspaces, head to the private workspace. On the top right corner click on the cog-icon "Settings" button, and click on "Manage members". You are able to add or remove members from this section of the product.
This feature is only available to users with "Admin" or "Team owner" roles.
Private workspaces provide additional flexibility to workspace admins, by allowing them to customize permissions for "Editors" in a workspace. As an "Admin" or a "Team owner" you are able to decide if editors can invite project collaborators for projects within the workspace, or share public reports with anyone outside the workspace.
To set these permissions, head to the private workspace. At the top right corner click on the cog-icon "Settings" button. You will find the toggles for these permissions in the "Permissions" section of the settings tab.
This feature is only available to users with "Admin" or "Team owner" roles.
