A prototype is a preliminary version of a product or system design used to test and validate ideas before full-scale production. Prototypes can vary in fidelity—from low-fidelity versions, like sketches or paper models, to high-fidelity digital representations that closely mimic the final product.
Prototypes can be created in varying levels of fidelity:
1. Low-fidelity: Rough sketches that prioritize layout over detail
2. Mid-fidelity: More refined designs that include clearer content and interactions
3. High-fidelity: Detailed representations that closely mimic the final product in terms of layout and functionality
